How can you prolong total blindness in a dog?

Cloudy eyes in an older dog are probably due to cataracts. A veterinary opthalmologist may be able to remove them but I would get a second opinion. Many older dogs learn to cope well with blindness. Just limit her exposure to bright sunlight, and encourage her when she feels her way. If you treat her as if everything is ok she will probably learn to adjust.
