Anybody heard of the turtle tortuter Jose "tony" Mosqueda?

a few weeks back there was a huge article in Ventura Ca about a man that kidnapped a 25 yr old turtle and slashed it up. this is pretty bad. heres the thing though, i grew up with tony, or as we called him black tony, and he is an avenue boy. the turtle slashing was becuz the lady ratted out tony about his dog. so he retaliated by getting the turtle. then he was arrested and she ratted again, so some homeboys killed her dog. harsh. but they live in a ROUGH neighborhood and that is street justice. does any1 else agree with me? it was either the dog or the kid. thats the way of the hood.
