My Yahoo! email account has a virus.How do i access it now? What do i do?

I just went to send an email and my Avast virus protection came into to play to say there was a virus alert there. When i clicked to abort,i then lost access to my email account. What am i supposed to do now? I don't have any youngsters in the house that can help me with this...eeeek!!
