What ever happened to Thomas Edison's Bronx film studios?

I did research reading old articles and stuff. I know it was demolised and put up with affordable housing but I want more info about the place. I know the 1910 Frankenstein movie was filmed there. According to this article from 1993 or something...it says it was demolished in 1977 but I want to know if there's any more information about this place any of you would know about.
