Blindness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok i don't wear gles but for the last few days my eye has been in a infection and i have woken up for the last few morinings with sleep all over my eye lashes, i am scared that i will be going blind, i can ead without gles but i get things a bit blurry, i don't need gles but am i going blind? What are the symptoms of going blind? Thanks
